Eileen - My Beautiful Mum
I lost my beloved Mum this morning and wanted to show you just how beautiful she was, so this is my favourite photo of her, taken when she was 21.
My DT card for Sketch & Stash has already been scheduled for Monday, but there will be no new cards for a few days as I can't concentrate on anything at the moment.

CACB DT Card - Challenge 6
Hi everyone, this is my DT card for challenge 6 at Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog and the theme this time is 'Embossing' (either dry or heat)
For this card I decided to use one of my cute Tildas as the main image and I've sat her in one of Ann's fabulous frames. I've used a few of these in various shapes for my cards in the past and this time I chose a circular one, which I printed out twice so I could decoupage the flowers and ribbons.
As the theme was embossing, I couldn't resist using Ann's gorgeous 'embossed dots' papers and I chose 'Tangerine' and Sky Blue' as the colour palette. I also embossed a Nestie with the cuttlebug dots folder, to match the papers and popped this behind the frame.
This image is from Magnolia's Christmas collection, but I thought she looked perfect for a birthday in this colour combo and I've used the sketch from Sketch & Stash challenge 11 (this was always one of my favourites, a lot of my christmas cards used this sketch too!)
The card is finished off with some satin ribbon that I've had for ages and never used before, and some card candy that I've coloured with my Promarkers to match the paper.
I think Ann's wonderful frames are perfect for using with all the little 'cuties' and I can certainly see me doing this a lot in the future.
Card Details:
* Image - Magnolia 'Unwrapped Tilda'
* Frame - Crafty Ann's 'Circular Flowers 1'
* Colouring medium - Promarkers
* Papers - Crafty Ann's 'Embossed Dots' in Tangerine and Sky Blue
* Sentiment - Woodwarer 'Circular Greetings'
* Punch - Martha Stewart 'Doily Lace'
* Nestabilities - Standard Circles
* Everything else from my stash
I do hope you can find time to join in with us again, I love visiting your blogs and seeing what you come up with for these challenges and I couldn't believe how many people managed to join us last time (not counting one person who shall be nameless but managed numerous entries, and all of them were stunning...you know who you are!)
It's a whole two weeks until the next challenge and the style of your project is completely your choice, oh, and don't forget to pop over and see the other DT cards, they will totally inspire you!
While I'm posting, I'd just like to explain why I haven't been about too much lately. My Mum is very poorly at the moment and I'm finding that I really don't have much inclination for crafting or much time for blogging.
I shall do my best to try to keep up with my DT cards and I'll post as often as possible, but please bear with me if I don't manage to visit as much as usual.

Bah! Humbug! Challenge #1
Hi everyone,
I really wanted to join in with a couple of Christmas challenges this year, so that I might not have to make so many Christmas cards at the last minute. I think I've just about made this one at Bah! Humbug! by the skin of my teeth as challenge #2 starts on Friday.
The theme for their first challenge is 'Recycling' and I've used a lovely image from one of my Christmas cards together with some silver snowflakes and a snowflake border. Such a simple card to make, but I think it looks really pretty with it's silver and blue colour scheme (unfortunately it looks much like the view from my window today, brrrrrrr!!)
Card Details:
* Image - Recycled Christmas card
* Paper - Joanna Sheen
* Snowflakes and snowflake border - Daisy & Dandelion peel offs
Thank you all for your continued visits and for the lovely comments you've been leaving me

ABC Christmas Challenge #1
Hi everyone, I hope you are all keeping safe and warm?
The weather here has been so cold and is set to get colder still and the snow and ice are everywhere, so I haven't been out for a couple of days (shhhhh, don't tell but I've spent most of the time under the duvet watching TV in the bedroom...how decadent lol!)
I braved the chill of my craftroom again today (I'm still trying to catch up with that darned 'to do' list) but I also made time to enter one of the new christmas card challenges.
This card is for the ABC Christmas Challenge where the theme is 'A for Angels'. I decided to use a free digi image by Inger Harding called Winter Angel, isn't she sweet? I could do with that cosy outfit here at the moment.
If you haven't visited Inger's blog Simply Inger before please do, she's such a talented lady and you'll be in for a real treat.
All the other elements of the card are from a digital kit called 'Joy to the World'. Unfortunately, I've had this so long I can't remember where it originally came from, but if anyone knows please remind me.
Card Details:
* Image - Inger Harding freebie 'Winter Angel'
* Sentiment - PC generated
* Everything else from my stash
Some of you may have noticed the 'JUST SAY NO' banner on my sidebar, well following on from this ABC Christmas Challenge is offering some candy, see HERE for further details.
If you regularly blog hop or are part of a DT for a challenge blog, you'll already be aware how difficult and time consuming it can be to leave comments on a blog when word verification is enabled. You can remain just as safe by simply having comment modification enabled, so please think about joining in with this campaign.

Sketch & Stash DT card - #26
Hi everyone, it seems like ages ago since our last Sketch & Stash challenge so I was definitely ready for another of Becky's fabulous sketches. She's so good at designing layouts, they always manage to be interesting without detracting from the main image, just how I like them!
Those of you who visit me regularly will know what an addict I am for Mo Manning's brilliant images, so it should come as no surprise that I've used yet another one.
I've been trying to avoid visiting Mo's shop lately as I always want everything and find it so difficult trying to choose just one or two images. Well, I eventually succumbed to temptation and popped in for one image....I ended up buying six. Not only that, but while I was there I saw another dozen or so that I really NEED!
Card Details:
* Image - Mo Manning 'They grow so fast'
* Colouring medium - Promarkers and Distress Inks
* Papers - My Mind's Eye 'Wild Asparagus'
* Sentiment - PC generated
* Everything else from my stash.
I'm sorry that I haven't been about very much lately, but I seem to have an ever growing list of tasks on my 'To Do' list at the moment. I'm hoping that it won't be too much longer before I'll be visiting all my favourite blogs and leaving comments again as I'm really missing my daily fixes of inspiration from your blogs.
I do hope you'll find time to join in with our first challenge of the New Year, you have a whole two weeks until the next one. Don't forget to let us know what new or neglected items you use on your creations and if you need some inspiration, just check out what my fellow DT members have created this time, they just get better and better.

CACB DT Card - Challenge 5
Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful New Year and are not feeling too hungover today.
This is my DT card for challenge 5 at Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog The theme this time is 'New Year, New Inspiration' and we'd like to see any new techniques, ideas or goodies on your projects.
My card was inspired by my Martha Stewart 'around the page' punches, which I've used to make a frame for this stunning image of Ann's. It's called 'Iris' and the plain backing paper is 'Pastel Lilac' from the 'Polished Brights' collection, both of them are available from Crafty Ann's.
I've finished this off with a pretty, sparkly butterfly, a sentiment tag attached with a tiny brad and some card candy glittered with Stickles.
Card Details:
* Image - Crafty Ann's 'Iris'
* Colouring medium - Promarkers
* Plain paper - Crafty Ann's Polished Brights 'lilac'
* Lace paper - Joanna Sheen 'Pastel Lace pad'
* Punch - Martha Stewart 'Around the Page - Fan'
* Everything else from my stash
As always, I've really enjoyed visiting your blogs to see your lovely creations and I'm hoping that you'll manage to join in again this time.
It's an ideal opportunity to show off all your new crafting goodies, the theme of your creation is entirely up to you and don't forget you have a whole two weeks to join in.
