A Tale of Two Challenges

Well not quite a novel, but this card definitely had it's moments, more of that later.
Firstly good evening to you all and I hope you've had a succesful day. Mondays are always a little hectic for me as it's my day for getting my Mum's shopping and then doing her washing and housework. By the time I get home I'm usually trying to catch up with myself all evening.
Tonight's card is for the Dutch Dare Challenge "A Card for A Girl" and also fits the Tanda Teaser challenge which this week is "Pretty in Pink".
Another cute little girl from Hangler and Stangler, this time with her teddy bear. I'm not sure where the backing papers came from but the little green photo corners are K & Co, the sentiment was done on the PC and she is mounted onto Nestabilities. I coloured her with my Pro-Markers but when the card was completed I decided I wanted to shade the sentiment slightly. I used my pencils and Sansador and was just about finished when I knocked the bottle of Sansador over.
I must have lost about half the bottle, everything on my table was soaked with it including the now completed card! I cleared up as best I could, but if you've ever used this you'll know how difficult it is (although it did bring my pine table up with a lovely sheen!) it had covered everything on the table, plus I think the fumes had made me a bit "high". The air was a little blue as you can imagine, and I just left the card on the side. So I was very surprised when I returned from Mum's today to find the card had dried out without a mark on it, hence the reason it's now on the blog as planned.
I hope you like the card now it's recovered from it's little accident and hopefully tomorrow's card will be trauma free! Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you again soon.

Oh dear Chrissie - I'm so pleased this lovely card survived but I have to confess to a bit of a titter at the way you described the trauma and I really can't imagine you turning the air blue!

I missed this tale of woe the other day. Glad to here this lovely card survived. I have a small screw top pot with a piece of sponge in it. I put spirit in the bottom and dip the stumps in. It works very well with no risk of spillage.

The air would have been black, never mind blue if it had happened to me lol. I am so glad you managed to save the card, it's fabulous! I love the colouring (still not got any Promarkers or Copics yet - scared in case I can't use them lol).
